Happy International Tiger Day, tiger friends!
Today is our favourite day of the year, and the purr-fect time to celebrate one of the world's most majestic (and Critically Endangered) big cats. Every year on July 29, we come together to raise awareness about saving the tiger, and the urgent need to protect their forest homes.
To help save Sumatran tigers from Extinction, here are five wild ways you can take action today:
Adopt a Tiger
There are less than 300 Sumatran tigers left in the wild. By symbolically adopting a tiger today, you’ll help keep them alive, protected and thriving. Your gift will be a lifeline for tigers. Now, and for years to come.
Make a Donation
No matter how big or small, a donation will help save the Sumatran tiger, before it’s too late. Your generosity will support Wildlife Protection Units to patrol forests and protect tigers from danger by removing snares and deterring poachers. The fate of tigers is in our hands. Will help save them from Extinction?
Save Forest
Did you know, one of the best ways to save tigers, is to save their forest homes? Their rainforest habitat is disappearing FAST. And if we don't act now, forests will be gone, and with them the magnificent tiger. With nowhere to live, hunt and roam free–the Sumatran tiger will be gone forever.
Spread Awareness
Add your voice and take a stand today! Use your social media platforms to spread the word about the threats facing Sumatran tigers–and the urgent need to save them. Encourage your community to get on board, and together, we can save the tiger. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, so you can reshare posts directly from our pages (and tag us too!).
Donate Your Special Day
If you have a special day coming up, like your birthday or wedding, why not turn your celebrations into something extra meaningful? If you’re up for it, you can ask your friends and family to make a donation or adopt a tiger in your honour, instead of buying gifts.
